WHAT OTHER COSTS SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT?
If you are playing on a Travel team, there is a certain amount of required travel and typically some tournament play. There are of course expenses incident to such travel such as gas, mileage, food and at times hotel rooms. Please contact your coach to discuss this in more detail if you require additional information.
Travel teams are also responsible for purchasing home and away jerseys and socks. Jersey cost is estimated at approximately $80 each (each child needs one Home and one Away jersey) Socks are $10.00 per pair (home and away socks are required)
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED?
The following USA HOCKEY approved equipment is required: skates, helmet with face shield, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, hockey gloves, shin pads, cup and supporter, hockey socks (official Florida Panthers hockey socks for travel players) and a hockey stick. Neck guards may be worn but have not been mandated by USA Hockey. Male players of all ages must wear cups and supporters.
