Volunteers Needed!

Volunteer help is needed! ESHA is looking for enthusiastic dedicated
volunteers willing to support our organization.  ESHA volunteers are
vital to our organization as we grow our program. Please see the list below for volunteer positions open and consider giving time to ESHA.  We will finalize all positions as of the general membership meeting scheduled for September 28th.   Please submit your name, position(s) of interest and any questions to .  Thank you!!

 A.  Board Position - Vice-President (serve for vacancy - term ends June 2011; best person would be a shadow for the President position and willing to run for President in June 2011)

B.   Committee Positions:

Publicity (includes apparel, recruitment and community outreach) - works with Committee Chairman Cary Barnes (2 members needed)

Rink Contact / Home Ice Slot Scheduler  (includes clinic coordination, home tournament point of contact, weekly communication with TCCC, scheduler for goalie clinic shooters) - works with Committee Chairman Wendy Panor (2-3 members needed - one with hockey experience, preferably coaching
experience to assist with clinic coordination and research)

Trophy/Yearbook/Picture - works with Committee Chairman Jerry
Rovenolt (2-3 members needed)

Parent Education - works with Committee Chairman Vice-President (1 member needed)

ACE Coordinator - shadow for our current ACE, Jay McLaughlin, in preparation for the next term/season.   Attendance at board meetings may be needed.

Financial - shadow for our current Treasurer, Daphne Wagner, whose term ends June 2011.  Assist this season with budgeting.  Should be willing to run for Treasurer position in June 2011.

Referee/Official Seminars coming to Easton!

Level 1 and Level 2 USA Hockey Southeastern District Referee/Official Seminars are coming to Easton!   Date is Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 8:30am - 4:30pm.  More information and details can be found at http://www.southeastrefs.org/cgi-bin/seminars.pl or go to www.usahockey.com and follow the links under Officials and Southeastern District.   Space is limited and online reservations are now being accepted.

ESHA REC 2010/2011 Players/Families- Save the date
The ESHA Rec teams will hit the ice for the first time this season on Sunday, September 12th, 9:10am - 10:10 am in Harrington Delaware.

Registration Fees 2010-2011 Season

Registration Fees 2010-2011 Season:
New this season – all registration fees will be accepted online. Season fees will be due 50% by July 15, 2010 and 50% by September 15, 2010.
 
 
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST PER PLAYER?

Family Discount:   Families with more than one registered player in ESHA (whether on Travel, Atoms or Rec teams) will be entitled to a $100.00 discount per child for each additional child registering from the same family (the first child is at full cost).
 
Goalie Discount: There is a $200 discount for all travel goalies at the Mite age level or above (unless you are borrowing ESHA goalie equipment) but limited to two (2) goalies per team. All other goalies are entitled to borrow equipment from ESHA.
 
WHAT OTHER COSTS SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT?
If you are playing on a Travel team, there is a certain amount of required travel and typically some tournament play. There are of course expenses incident to such travel such as gas, mileage, food and at times hotel rooms. Please contact your coach to discuss this in more detail if you require additional information. 
 
Travel teams are also responsible for purchasing home and away jerseys and socks. Jersey cost is estimated at approximately $80 each (each child needs one Home and one Away jersey) Socks are $10.00 per pair (home and away socks are required)
 
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED?
The following USA HOCKEY approved equipment is required: skates, helmet with face shield, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, hockey gloves, shin pads, cup and supporter, hockey socks (official Florida Panthers hockey socks for travel players) and a hockey stick. Neck guards may be worn but have not been mandated by USA Hockey. Male players of all ages must wear cups and supporters.
