Registration

Your player must be registered with USA Hockey before completing the ESHA registration

Click here to register your player with USA Hockey for the 2021-2022 youth hockey season.

Please allow approximately ten minutes from the completion of your USA Hockey registration before you begin your ESHA registration. This should allow enough time for your USA Hockey registration to be discoverable by our ESHA registration.

2021-2022 ESHA Youth Hockey Season Registration:

Registration will close on May 14 at 7 PM, and only players that have completed the ESHA 2021-22 registration will be allowed to attend the tryouts. Any player that would like to join ESHA after May 14 will not be able to register until after all players that registered before May 14 are rostered on a team, and we will only open registration for teams that are not full.

ESHA Tryout Details

Hockey Families,

The ESHA Board has made the decision to schedule tryouts for the upcoming 2021-22 season, as mentioned in our registration letter last week. You will find the schedule and requirements for the ESHA tryouts below, along with a brief explanation of how we came to the decision to add tryouts for next season.

I want to take a few moments to discuss why the decision to hold tryouts was made, as I have received some questions and concerns from a few of our members. The decision to hold tryouts was based on the number of inquiries that ESHA has received from potential new players that are considering joining us for next season. We do not know how many new players will register with ESHA for the upcoming season. However, there has been enough interest from families considering a move to our program, and we felt the need to prepare for the proper placement of new players. We needed to secure ice quickly as other teams within our leagues will be holding tryouts in mid-May as well, and a few local rinks are closed during May and June. We must have our teams placed and declared for our local leagues starting in June. Knowing this, we could not wait until after registration is closed on May 14 to determine if we have enough new players to necessitate tryouts. Thus, the decision was made to schedule and announce tryouts to our current members and potential new members. We encourage all returning players to attend the tryouts if they can, but we will be able to place them on a team if they are unable to attend tryouts, based on our end of season assessments and coaching evaluations.

Tryouts will be held at the Piney Orchard Ice Arena on the following schedule:

18U/16U Friday, May 21 at 6:45 PM

12U Saturday May 22 at 1:40 PM

10U Saturday May 22 at 2:50 PM

14U Saturday May 22 at 4:00 PM

Piney Orchard no longer requires a COVID waiver to enter the facility, but all players must get fully dressed outside, including skates. Also, players will be required to wear a mask to enter the building, but they will not be required to wear a mask while on the ice.
